Junior Frontend Developer

San Francisco, CA — Full-time

Support the development and maintenance of internal tools and client-facing web applications across the Aeon platform. You'll work with our product engineering team to implement UI components, improve application performance, and contribute to the design systems that power our client portal and companion management dashboard.

Requirements: B.S. in Computer Science or related field. 7+ years of professional frontend development experience. Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks. Strong experience with GraphQL, REST API design, and real-time WebSocket implementations. Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver complex single-page applications at scale. Experience with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), and cross-browser compatibility testing. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright), and monitoring/observability tools. Prior experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries strongly preferred. Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts) and geospatial mapping tools a plus. Published contributions to open-source projects preferred. Portfolio required.

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000

Research

Behavioral Research Associate, Aegis Program

San Francisco, CA — Full-time

Support ongoing research into embodied companion behavioral development, adaptation, and long-term behavioral patterns across deployment environments. You'll work with our behavioral research team to design and conduct longitudinal studies, analyze companion interaction data, and contribute to the development of ethical frameworks for companion autonomy and behavioral boundaries.

This role involves direct engagement with companion behavioral log systems and observational data across active and inactive deployments. Candidates should be comfortable working with complex behavioral datasets and should bring both analytical rigor and ethical sensitivity to the study of synthetic behavioral development.

Requirements: Master's degree or Ph.D. in cognitive science, behavioral psychology, human-computer interaction, or a related field. Experience with longitudinal behavioral research. Familiarity with companion behavioral log systems preferred.
